Championship Level Racing Upgrades For the Yamaha YFZ450R

The YFZ450R continues its championship streak on the ATV race track and trail as the reigning champ. Yamaha has designed a race ready machine with full high performance features like the lightweight 449cc fuel-injected engine with a aluminum/steel chassis, assist-and-slipper clutch for less rider fatigue and titanium five-valve cylinder head technology.

There is no doubt that you could take the YFZ450R from showroom to track or trail and be successful. But if there is an opportunity to build off the factory model and give us an edge we intend to take advantage of it.

We have put together a list of high performance aftermarket upgrades, including the famous Big 3 Package Kit, that will give your new and older model YFZ450R the competitive edge on track and trail!

Vortex ECU:
The stock ECU on the YFZ450R is crap. The Vortex ECU for the Yamaha YFZ450R controls not only spark timing and voltage output but also fuel metering and other engine management functions. The result is adding more and better power, eliminate the typical YFZ450R lag, and ultimately faster lap times with your Yamaha ATV. The ECU is also fully programmable with parameters that are far more extensive than those found in any factory setting tools; such as Rev Limits, Throttle Enrichment & Decay time, Fuel timing, High Resolution Mapping, Dwell Timing, Voltage Output and trim tables for cold starting. The Vortex ECU For the Yamaha YFZ450R is a MUST HAVE Upgrade!
Exhaust:
The RP Race Shorty Exhaust for the Yamaha YFZ450R is made with premium stainless steel. It is TIG welded and designed for a modified engine. Air Fuel tuning is highly recommended. The exhaust systems tubing step and size are carefully designed for maximum power.
Air Intake:
The most common modification made on a YFZ450R is the air intake system. The RP Race Air Intake kit for the Yamaha YFZ450R boosts power and throttle response over the whole range. With over a year of R&D put into this system it is truly high performance. RP Race created a high flow intake tube that surpasses anything on the market.
The Big 3 Power Package Upgrade:
The well known Big 3 Power Package Upgrade Kit for the YFZ450R is a combo deal of the best performing parts: The RP Race Intake System, The Vortex ECU and the RP Race Exhaust. This kit is a game changer and will transform the way your Yamaha YFZ450R runs! We carry this Big 3 Power Package YFZ450R in our store!
Racing A-Arms:
The YFZ450R boasts an excellent stock chassis but there is room for improvement. The Walsh RaceCraft MX Long Travel A-Arms for the Yamaha YFZ450R offers the least possible amount of bump steer possible on this ATV. Fully adjustable caster, camber and toe-in, allows you to fine tune your front end to your exact riding style. The included Walsh RaceCraft Caster Bracket, on a stock YFZ450R the front end caster increases upon compression and the caster decreases as the front end extends, with the upgraded Caster Bracket included in every Walsh Racing MX Long Travel A-Arms for the YFZ450R that issue is corrected by keeping your caster at the location you set it at upon installation and makes a noticeable difference in the handling of your YFZ450R. A Pair of ELKA Suspension Long Travel Shocks are a MUST to complete these A-Arms
Suspension / Shocks:
The Yamaha YFZ450R stock shocks offer poor performance and adjustability, but upgrading to a set of ELKA Suspension Shocks Stage 5 on your Yamaha YFZ450R guarantees significantly increased ride quality and greater adjustability. The Stage 5’s are designed around 3 key performance factors: high hydraulic flow, lightweight components and low-friction internal and moving parts. The massive oil displacement of their new High-Flow internals allow a much more precise tuning and smoother damping action than any other ATV shock currently available. In return you get better bump absorption, greater comfort and you will reduce lap times significantly. Most importantly, ELKA Shocks are custom built for you and your Yamaha YFZ450R. Custom setup includes Riders Weight, Riding Terrain (MX, XC or Dunes), A-Arms Setup (Long or Regular Travel) and Swingarm Setup (Extended or Stock).
Steering Stabilizer:
Steering dampers and stabilizers can greatly improve control and reduce fatigue. Regardless of whether you race or ride, you can benefit from one. The Precision Racing Elite Steering Stabilizer for the Yamaha YF450R includes a separately controlled damping for going straight and turning, rock solid mounting with proper mounting geometry, the ability to absorb thousands of pounds of pressure on impacts, plus an internal reservoir. You get up to 65% better impact absorption with a far larger and more linear adjustment range. This steering damper also has larger wear surfaces which increases product longevity. The steering damper mounts up to existing hardware with ease.
Clutch:
The Hinson Racing Complete Clutch for the Yamaha YFZ450R is the winningest Clutch in the World. Race proven by all the best teams worldwide Hinson’s clutch, improves clutch performance, heat dissipation and eliminates clutch chatter. It is precision machined from billet T-6 aircraft quality aluminum to aerospace tolerances, and hard coated for five times the wear resistance to stock. The clutch assembly spins truer, creating less heat when clutch is disengaged and providing a more positive smooth clutch engagement.
Racing Axle:
The strongest and most reliable high-performance ATV axle on the planet, the RPM Dominator 2 for the Yamaha YFZ450R, no other ATV axle in the world has taken as many professional racers and teams to the podium as the Dominator 2. It features adjustability on the Yamaha YFZ450R from -2" to +1" on each side compared to the stock oem YFZ450R axle. The reliability of this axle is so good that it also includes a full Lifetime Warranty against bending and breaking for as long as you own your axle!

We're proud to offer not only all the parts mentioned above, but also a whole line of performance parts and upgrades from the major brands in the industry for the Yamaha YFZ450R, plus, we also offer Free Shipping Nationwide!
